Our Accomplishments
Over the years, we have accomplished many important milestones in our mission to support workforce development in the skilled trades, including expanding our services and increasing accessibility to resources in our communities. We have employed over 2000 people in the KCMO metropolitan area, trained 150 candidates in the construction workforce industries and made pathway for apprenticeship programs with the Allied Trades.

Anjou D Giri
Anjou D Giri has been at the helm of this organization since August 25, 2018. She is also the Founder of Strategic Workforce Development Inc. Her passion for equal opportunities, fair wages, and rebuilding careers for mid-skilled and under-represented communities led her to employ innovative ways to empower her mission of empowering people through workforce development services.
Liban Said
Liban Said is the executive director of SWD's newest chapter in Columbus, Ohio, and the founder of the Human Foundation nonprofit in Columbus, Ohio.
Mr. Said believes workforce development is a much-needed workforce program for the community in Columbus, Ohio.
Sustainable Energy Codes and Compliance
SWD is happy to announce MEC's energy sustainable energy codes and compliance training program for 2024-25.
The program is scheduled for February 2025. This is a great opportunity to enter the Green Jobs construction sector.
