At www.strategicwfd.com, we strive to bring people together and create a sense of belonging and connection within our communities. We are a nonprofit organization committed to making a positive impact through training opportunities in the Construction Trades and Employment in the other 7 sectors of workforce development. Our mission is "where opportunity meets potential". Thank you for joining us on this journey.
Over the years, we have accomplished many important milestones in our mission to support workforce development in the skilled trades, including expanding our services and increasing accessibility to resources in our communities. We have employed over 2000 people in the KCMO metropolitan area, trained 150 candidates in the construction workforce industries and made pathway for apprenticeship programs with the Allied Trades.
Anjou D. Giri has led Strategic Workforce Development Inc. since its founding on August 25, 2018, alongside co-founder York Wilson. As President and CEO, she brings a deep commitment to equity, fair wages, and career rebuilding for mid-skilled and underrepresented communities. Her passion for inclusive workforce development drives innovative strategies that connect individuals to meaningful employment, apprenticeship pathways, and long-term economic mobility. Strategic Workforce Development Inc. is proud to announce the upcoming launch of its Jefferson City Chapter in 2026. This expansion marks a significant step in advancing our mission to create equitable pathways into the construction trades and other high-demand industries across Missouri. By establishing a local presence in Jefferson City, SWD will deepen its impact through targeted workforce development services, strategic partnerships, and community-driven programming tailored to the region’s needs.
