Our Team, partners & board volunteers
We have a great team of working board members, business advisory board members, and volunteers working with us. Our executive staff consists of our lead management team, curriculum Instructors, housing development contractors, executive consultants, and administrative assistants. Last but not least we work with our community partners and who offer great value to us through their dedication to our purpose and mission goals
Our History
Strategic Workforce Development Inc., also known as SWD, was founded on August 24th, 2018, as a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to job development, employment, and workforce preparation in the Greater Kansas City, MO area.
SWD today is not only a workforce development organization but is an accredited pre-apprenticeship program working with the Allied Trades, Contractors Union and Non-Union as well as Developers.
Our Mission
Our beneficiaries are the disadvantaged discouraged, dislocated, minority, re-entry, youth, women, veterans and mid-skilled populations in the Greater Kansas City area and vicinities
