Strategic Workforce Development, Inc. (SWD)

These terms apply when you use www.strategicwfd.com, submit an application or form, or receive messages from Strategic Workforce Development, Inc. ("SWD," "we," "us"). By using the website or submitting a form, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Applications and eligibility

Submitting an application does not guarantee admission. Enrollment depends on eligibility, available space and program requirements. Program requirements include:

  • Build It KC Pre-Apprenticeship: 18 years of age or older, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or GED.
  • AI Lab: basic reading and computer skills.
  • Other programs (GC Licensing Exam Prep, Construction Entrepreneur Course, GovCon Navigation): requirements are listed on each program page or shared during intake.

You agree that the information you provide is true and complete to the best of your knowledge. SWD may verify eligibility and may decline or end enrollment if information is inaccurate.

2. Text messaging terms

If you check a consent box on our forms, you agree to receive text messages from Strategic Workforce Development at the number you provided:

  • Non-marketing messages about your application and enrollment in the AI class and Build It KC programs.
  • Marketing and promotional messages, including class start dates, open enrollment and program updates, only if you separately agree.

Consent is optional and is not a condition of applying or enrolling. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time; you will receive one confirmation message and no further texts unless you opt in again. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected]. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

3. Program participation

Participants agree to follow program schedules, safety rules and conduct expectations shared at orientation. Job placement, apprenticeship acceptance, licensing and exam results are not guaranteed, because they depend on employers, licensing bodies and individual effort.

4. Use of the website

You agree not to misuse the website, submit false or harmful information, or attempt to disrupt its operation. Website content is provided for general information and may change without notice. Program details, dates and requirements may be updated.

5. Intellectual property

SWD's name, logo, curriculum and website content belong to SWD or its partners and may not be copied or reused without permission.

6. Limitation of liability

The website is provided "as is." To the extent allowed by law, SWD is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the website or messaging services.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when they were last changed.
